Step 6: Restoration
The Water is all gone! But now what?
Once the water damage on your property has successfully been extracted and dried, there is still more work to do! The process of cleaning up after a water damage event involves removing or cutting out some materials. These materials may include drywall, carpeting, and carpet pad. Depending on how much water there was and if it were dirty or clean, all porous materials may need to be removed.
If a water damage event is big enough to affect multiple floors, there will be lots of materials to dispose of and to replace, especially if the water source was from dirty water.
Luckily, SERVPRO of Chaska/Chanhassen is a full-service construction provider! Not only can we handle all aspects of mitigating water damage, but we are also a licensed contractor in the State of Minnesota. As a contractor, we have the personnel on staff to take care of all of the repairs, too!
